Salt Union Ltd offers a complete off-the-shelf Pre-wetting package to winter maintenance operators. This involves initial design to ensure the correct sized Pre-wetting unit is recommended, installation and ongoing maintenance.

Pre-wetted salt is a mixture of 70% dry salt with 30% saturated brine, which combines the long lasting effects of dry salt crystals with the adhesive properties of brine.

Pre-wetting works immediately as it is active on impact with the road's surface.
